Only you, perfect as you are! For most of the classes a quiet space with minimal distractions where you can move your arms and legs freely is ideal, along with clothes you’re comfortable moving in. But some you can even do at your desk!
The classes run from 5 to 25 minutes, so you can fit them easily into your daily schedule. You can practice once a day, every other day, even just a couple times a week.
Absolutely. Boabom’s unique combination of meditation and movement helps us meditate without having to sit still. By using the body to move the mind, we create a powerful meditation as we focus on breathing and movement.
Boabom brings movement to your meditation practice. It can be an amazing complement, both as a “warm-up” that can help you deepen your meditation, and as a different approach, bringing movement together with breathing and mindfulness.
Boabom comes out of its own tradition, with roots in ancient Tibet. While there are so many different varieties of yoga, in general Boabom focuses more on movements and less on held poses. And while all movement systems share one big idea—the human body—the movements in Boabom are different from those in Tai Chi and Qi Gong, as they come from different traditions.
